Polling Clerk Job Description

The Federation of Students is hiring polling clerks for the upcoming General Election.  All successful applications would be required to commit to three (3) consecutive three (3) hour shifts and execute their role in accordance with the Feds’ Elections and Referenda procedure, paying particular attention to section 9 “Polling.”

Mystery Shopper

We are looking for mystery shoppers (MS) with an eye for detail to evaluate our restaurants, services and retail stores. The Mystery Shop program is a paid gig, you’ll receive free meals, and it easily fits into your schedule. 

Graphic Designer

The Feds Graphic Designer is part of a dynamic team of paid undergraduate student staff that assist in the advertising of all of the Feds special events, clubs, societies, student run services, advocacy and commercial operations on campus with the goal to enhance student awareness of Feds and all programs, services and initiatives that it coordinates.

Kitchen Prep – Morning Shifts

Working in a team environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and packaging the various items that the Kitchen prepares.


Come make movies with us! Feds is hiring a part-time Videographer. As a member of the Feds Marketing and Communications department, the Videographer will report to and work closely with the Communications & Media Relations Specialist for 6-10 hours a week. The Videographer will produce promotional video content and event coverage for use on Feds.ca and social media.


Internal Administration Committee

The Internal Administration Committee is responsible for decisions regarding Federation of Students’ clubs, services and commissions.  This includes approving new club applications, revised constitutions and disciplinary measures in accordance with council procedures governing clubs.  You are also responsible for making recommendations to council and the VPSL on all matters relating to Feds clubs, services and commissions.

Coordinator, Cultural Caravan 2019

The Federation of Students is seeking adedicated student to coordinate Cultural Caravan. This coordinator will assist in the planning and oversee Cultural Caravan in March 2019. This position will be a term long commitment starting in February and running through to the end of March.

Feds Cultural Caravan Team 2019

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to assist with Cultural Caravan on the evening of Thursday March 7th, 2019.

Wellness Days Team Member

All Wellness Days Team Members are accountable to the Special Events Coordinator and the VP Student Life of the Federation of Students with guidance from the University of Waterloo Athletics and Peer Health Education.

Clubs Support Team

The Federation of Students (Feds) is seeking a team of motivated students who are passionate about peer-to-peer support and getting involved with our more than 250 clubs. The Clubs Support Team mandate is to serve, empower, and represent the Feds’ clubs. The goal is to assist clubs carry out both their club purpose, as well as their current club goals.


Imprint: Volunteer Positions

Volunteer positions include Section Editors for Arts & Sports, Head Designer, Graphic Editor, Video Editor, Satellite Campus Editor.

Imprint: Sales Assistant - Part-time, UW Work-study

Assisting the Advertising and Production Manager with existing and new cold-call sales, for the purpose of advertisers promoting their business in Imprint to the UW community and the general public in Waterloo, Kitchener, Cambridge and Stratford.

Imprint: Social Media Editor - Part-time, UW Work-study

Assisting the Executive Editor to ensure daily postings are completed for Imprint social-media channels. Connect with readers, develop content, multitask assignments from various departments and use social-media analytical tools to measure key metrics for editorial and advertising.

Imprint: Editorial Assistant - Part-time, UW Work-study

Enthusiastic attitude about writing and Imprint in general. Experience in transcribing, interviewing, research. Ability to plan and write full articles quickly and without assistance.
