Feds Employment & Volunteer Opportunities
The Federation of Students is excited to partner with the University of Waterloo on this annual event, hosted for community members in and around the University of Waterloo. We encourage students to attend this event, and also to participate as volunteers!
Campus Life Advisory Committee meets as often as needed (meaning pending their projects). One of the primary goals of this committee oversees the value and output of our student run services. This committee can also serve as an advice-giving place for the Vice President Student Life on certain matters or issues.
Internal Funding Committee meets as often as needed (meaning pending the amount of applications). This committee uses pre-determined guidelines to grant funding to different groups on campus for undergraduate students. Please refer to feds.ca/funding for more information about this. This committee oversees the Enterprise, Opportunity and Innovation fund and the Special Projects Fund out of the VPSL budget.
The Internal Administration Committee is responsible for decisions regarding Federation of Students’ clubs, services and commissions. This includes approving new club applications, revised constitutions and disciplinary measures in accordance with council procedures governing clubs. You are also responsible for making recommendations to council and the VPSL on all matters relating to Feds clubs, services and commissions.
The Co-op Fee Review Student Advisory Panel acts as a key source of student input during the co-op fee review process. The group represents Waterloo undergraduate student experiences with the cooperative education program at the University, and is invited to make recommendations throughout the process to ensure the student voice is well represented.
Volunteers needed for in-clinic positions at Kitchener's only non-profit veterinary clinic. East Village Animal Hospital provides vital vet care to low income families, rural communities and rescue groups, and relies on its volunteer workforce to keep the clinic running at low cost.
The Rotary Guelph Archives Committee is seeking a summer student to assist with file management including transfer of historic printed records to digital format. Office location Guelph.
The new Diversity and Inclusion Service which was approved at the March General Meeting for the Federation of Students is seeking its first student leadership team. Two undergraduate student coordinators will be hired to lead the new service into existence working with the Federation of Students and the Services Manager.
The Web Developer Assistant & UX Designer will be responsible for monitoring incoming web requests and executing updates to the Feds.ca website.

The Bombshelter Pub Team is always looking for enthusiastic, hard-working students to assist in the service of great food and overall experience at student-friendly prices.
To further the Federation of Students (Feds) engagement with and amplifying the student voice at Waterloo, the Feds Promotional Representatives operate on three key values: confidence, optimism and approachability. The team is composed of outgoing and positive students who assist in strategic marketing and planned promotions with the goal to enhance student awareness of Feds and all programs, services, and initiatives that it coordinates.
