New this year, we're excited to welcome first-year students with Feds First-Year Fair, an event designed to introduce our newest members to many of the great services and opportunities available through Feds.

“The goal of the Feds First-Year Fair is to introduce first-year students to their student union, ensure they know that as undergrads they are members of Feds, and to educate them about the services we offer in a fun and interactive way,” said Director of Marketing and Communications at Feds, Melissa Thomas.

The Fair aims to create an opportunity for new students to get to know Feds, what we do, what support and services we provide, and how we as students fit in as members.

“It’s important for students to become aware of Feds early because we are here to represent them and by knowing that, they can learn how to activate their voice through Feds,” said Thomas.

New students can learn how to get involved and enhance their university experience, whether that's by joining a club, getting a part-time job with Feds or volunteering with a student-run service, taking part in student government or by attending events.

The Fair will take place on Friday, September 7 at the Student Life Centre and Village 1 Green. There will be free food, a chance to win prizes, and events for you to enjoy including Bubble Soccer, Plant Your Own Seeds, Live Drag Shows and more!
