Strapped for cash and need some food? Don't go hungry! Come to the Feds Food Bank and get groceries for free. Run entirely by dedicated student volunteers, this valuable service is confidential.

Our Goals

  • To provide an accessible way for students in need to access food and hygiene products
  • To raise awareness of hunger and food insecurity issues
  • To run unique events in order to raise food for our Food Bank and local community

Who is eligible?

  • All University of Waterloo affiliates who possess an active Watcard are able to use our services

Visit us

  • Drop by our office at SLC 3102 during our hours of operation
    which is based on our volunteer availability
  • Bring your WatCard! We only check WatCards to verify you’re a student at UW
  • Visitors can take up to 10lbs per visit, and are allowed 3 visits per 30 days

What we have to offer

  • We have tons of categories of foods ranging from pastas, sauces, canned veggies, canned meats, beans, breakfast foods, frozen foods and more! Our abundance is dependent on the donations we receive.

Don’t forget we have hygiene products too!

  • Shampoo, soap, feminine, hygiene products, etc. (availability based on donations)

Can't make it to our office?

  • We have meat and vegetarian hampers available at Turnkey in SLC and DCfood hampers
  • Hampers are also available at satellite locations: School of Pharmacy, School of Architecture, and Stratford School of Interaction Design and Business
  • We also have a food cupboard at the Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre

Donate to us
